"Thank you for your time, but I am rather busy right now," you say and brush past the disappointed engineer. You have a Jedi to slay. You have no time for this.
You walk in the direction of the offensive speck of light. You pass another sign pointing towards the library.
Finally you arrive at the door. Stacks of datasticks and holopads beckon to you. It opens without need of the Force. You smile.
Even the stars go out. Dusk will always conquer the day. Kenobi will be yours, soon.
You fantasize about your inevitable victory as you stalk across the transparisteel-paned walkway onto which the door opened. The library itself is beneath you. All those stacks for you to play cat and mouse and toy with your prey like he toyed with your life.
Now it is you who are the apex predator. You will rip the flesh from Kenobi's bones and rip the life from Kenobi's soul. His dying screams will nourish your dreams as he collapses to the ground like his pathetic master did oh so long ago. Betrayal will alight on his face as he realizes the Force has left him.
His life will not be repayment enough for all he has put you through. It is all he has with which to pay.
The offensive speck of light that has escaped its quarantine on this blighted world is just ahead and below you. You quieten your footsteps and wrap yourself in a veil of silence as you take the final steps to your vengeance.
Your disappointment is immeasurable and your day is ruined.
It is a Jedi, oh yes, but it is not Kenobi. No. It is the ancient archivist, Jocasta Nu.
She has yet to make any indication of noticing you. You consider your options. You could leave and see if there are any other potential Kenobi sightings – or you could try to extract Kenobi's location from Nu. It would forewarn Kenobi, but if he is near enough, you might be able to catch him.
Do you leave or talk to Jocasta Nu?
