You walk past a row of sparsely-placed doors accompanied by room numbers that increment upwards: FP15-4501, FP15-4502, FP15-4503... They all seem empty. The doors are unlocked. You poke your head into one and see an empty auditorium that has seen better days. You move on.
Eventually, the corridor ends in a set of locked doors. There is life behind them, harried humans conducting some form of argument that comes to a halt when they see you. As you can see that the corridor beyond them does not turn and ends in a machine shop of some sort, you do your best to look lost and confused and turn around.
You didn't notice any cross-corridors. You confirm the lack as you retrace your steps to the door that admitted you to the building. With an annoyed sigh, you turn your back to the door. Turning right led you nowhere. Will you go straight or remove an access panel to climb through the maintenance tunnels?
